DIY: Nativity Popsicle Sticks Ideas

Christmas is one of the exciting seasons in the year that ideas for DIY projects are simply unlimited!  Ohh, if only I have moooooore time.  Anyway, to remain true in the spirit & meaning of Christmas, I'm thinking of an easy and fun Christmas craft for my children in church with The Nativity in mind.  And what better way than to start with ready materials like the Popsicle sticks, right?

Modern DIY Christmas Tree

We still don't have a Christmas tree this year. But I'm glad H finally agreed to have a DIY tree as long as I don't spend a penny on it. Hay, pressure!

PHILIPPINE HOLIDAYS: Last few in 2011

With PNoy willfully veering away from the last Administration's image, we had no or rather a few long weekends this year.  Too bad, Christmas and New Year both landed on a Sunday! Meaning, we might go back to work half asleep... x_X  But on a bright note, the President can still change his mind. (fingers crossed!)

December 25, Sunday – Christmas Day (regular holiday)
December 30, Friday – Rizal Day (regular holiday)
December 31, Saturday – Last Day of the Year (special non-working day)

Anyway, how's your Nochebuena preparations so far? Thank God I don't have to cook, less stress though I sure am going to miss the chaos.  Like last year, H & I will spend Nochebuena with my family and guess what we're bringing? Yup, Dairy a Queen Black Forest cake! H & I enjoyed the Blizzard so much, we're sure the cake will be twice the delight!  Ohh, I can't wait for Christmas!!! :)

Do you want to bring home your own Dairy Queen Black Forest Special? My DQ Sweet Holiday Giveaway is still ongoing till December 22 (Thur) 12nn.  Check it out HERE for more details.

Cake Pops for Christmas

One of my favorite mommy-foodie blogger, Peachy of thepeachkitchen.com, is thinking of Cake Pops for Christmas this morning.  It's such a splendid project for the upcoming season, don't you think?  Ohh, it got me thinking of my own Christmas project as well!   I can't wait to see Peachy's creations.

Anyway, just to share some Christmas Cake Pops ideas I gathered from the net which I find really cute and relatively easy to do...

Our First Christmas Tree Concepts

It's mid-October already, I still can't decide whether or not I am ready to get our first Christmas Tree. The lack of storage space and permanent dwelling place (a.k.a "just renting") are my top most dilemmas!

After browsing through the net, I found some nice DIY Christmas Tree concepts I can probably do and dismantle easily after the holiday season.  O, diba?  No permanent commitment necessary! :-)
