Chocolate Ganache Cake |
Me & my team recently found ourselves in Makati, waiting for the downpour to stop before heading back to the office. A cup of coffee was inevitable!
I've been hearing about Chocolate Fire, a self-service chocolate cafe in Makati, so instantly I grabbed the chance to visit it while we're in the area. The display counter is filled with various chocolate bars & concoctions. My eyes feasted on the selection, a chocolate haven indeed! Unfortunately, the crew shooed us away when they saw my camera ready to take some pictures. A bit offended, I lost interest in the store completely. I mean, they could have told me discretely (so I recall).

Anyway, since we're stuck, we just ordered their Happy Hour Promo, two cups of coffee and a slice of ganache cake for P350. After all, it's still CHOCOLATE (my most favorite thing in the world), so I might as well make better of our stay there. (We were ready to order more but...yun nga eh!)

After all that has been said, I honestly would still like to try their chocolate bars & chips. Ohh, well... next time, may be.

P.S. Some bagito foodie lessons from this incident:
- Do your homework. Read reviews & ask around
- Ask permission before taking pictures (of the store) to avoid awkward moments
- Hard to have good judgement on things when your thoughts/ emotions are clouded. Keep calm & eat chocolate! ;)
Chocolate Fire is at G/F PDCP Building Leviste Street corner Rufino Street, Salcedo Village, Makati City. Tel. No. 840-3473, (0920) 605-8692
