I recently dropped by Rags2Riches (R2R) headquarters to catch up with Matt Pardinas, one of the passionate people behind this Manila-based for-profit social enterprise.  I met him in a Young Leaders' Forum in Tagaytay sponsored by the US Embassy earlier this year, and was instantly impressed on his dedication to his job as R2R Marketing and Corporate Relations Manager.  Matt & I, together with other local NGO representatives we bonded with in the Forum, made a pledge to support each other in any way we can to promote our cause/s - which we believe will build our beloved nation. Naks!

This is it!  Can you feel the Christmas rush now?  Parties, reunions, and get-together celebrations are happening everywhere all over the country.  Since I have a liking with sweet food, it only means one thing for me - sweets madness! 

To share my delight, I act as a Sweets Santa to my family and friends each year.  They would either have a home-baked goodie or a personally selected cake by me.  This year,  I'm relying on one of my favorite sweet shops to do the magic  - Dairy Queen!

My husband is especially thrilled with this year's DQ holiday special, it has all his favorite things in a single cup - chocolate, ice cream, and cherries!

PFW Spring Summer 2012: It's a Wrap for Me!

I'll be wrapping up early on my PFW Spring Summer 2012 "adventure".  Again, a special thank you to Jen, Laura & Angel for the invites! ☺

Though last night's show was a big FAIL on our part, we ended it with an 18" 4-Cheese & Pepperoni Pizza and Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta from Yellow Cab - now that's a good  pambawi naman, right?

(SPOILER ALERT)  Nope, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (a.k.a Carla Spencer in Transformers 3) wasn't wearing stiletto heels the whole time!  If so, I would have rushed to buy a pair - heels like that have super powers, don't you think?  Umm, so how did she change her shoes while running in the battle scene, as in may baon sya? lol!

H & I watched the movie during our date night.  I was about 10 mins late due to EDSA traffic, boohoo.  H said I missed a lot of good stuffs, turned out it includes the ala Victoria Secret scene pala ha.ha. x_X  But kidding aside, we had some good laughs and squeals (at least for me) in the movie.  Even with the simple (slightly loose) plot & a lot of dejavu scenes, it’s still a good watch for us.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is still on the big screen.  By now, the theaters are not as crowded as last week. Happy payday weekend! :-)
