Buffet by the Waterfalls at Villa Escudero

Add caption

Off-course, a Villa Escudero visit is not complete without the lunch buffet by the Labasin Dam.

Before heading out to the restaurant, guests are welcomed to leave their bags to the baggage counter for their convenience.

Waterfalls Restaurant Right This Way!

Lunch at the Waterfalls Restaurant is served on bamboo dining tables set just a few steps from the spillway of the hydroelectric dam (or the 'Labasin waterfalls').  I was iffy at first to try it but the water turns out surprisingly clean.  Ang lamig pa!

View from the top.

Buffet tables serve local dishes from grilled fish, pancit, and ensalada.  There's nothing really exceptional about the food but people come here for the experience of eating near the waterfalls and with running water at your feet.

OMG! Local ensalada paired nicely w/ bagoong!

Lunch is served by the kawali & dahon ng saging

Sarap ng pakwan!

My Momu doing her donya-like pose.  Lol

Kain Tayo! Picture muna bago lumafang.

My first plate.  ;-)

After the hefty meal,  we strolled around the waterfalls restaurant and took some photos.  Ala turista lang ang peg ;-)

My brother gamely poses but covered his tummy ;-P

Ako naman, My big feet and the clear water. Linis noh?

Syempre, di pwede walang souvenir picture by the waterfalls.

I'm really pleased to see how the whole waterfalls restaurant is kept clean even the restrooms.  The servers are very nice and accommodating.   It was really a good experience, nakakatuwa talaga.

Lunch buffet at Labasin Waterfalls is included in the Day Tour Package.  It also includes welcome drinks, a guided tour of the AERA Memorial Museum, carabao-drawn cart rides, and use of outdoor facilities.
