Since H & I were home early yesterday due to Pedring, I was able to chop some carrots, red bell pepper, mushrooms, & tomatoes for a healthy pasta feast good for the rest of the week! :)
I think this version w/ all-purpose cream is better than the first batch, don't you think?
Rea, our childhood & rollerblade buddy, was in town after 9 long years!?! We only had a day to spend with her - at least for me, since H & I had an early flight the next day. Super bitin! :(
I thought H was kidding when he told me I should do at least 10,000 steps a day to be fit & loose weight. When I researched it on the internet, whooa! He wasn't lying. x_X
Pinoys love fried food for some reason. It's not necessarily a comfort food but more like a "convenient food" for on-the-go peeps.
So what's in the box today? It's the marinated boneless Century Bangus Belly - something quick, easy & healthy (I still used vegetable oil! hehehe @.@). I added a kamatis* for the dip, 'di pwedeng walang sawsawan mamaya diba? I'm thinking of either crushed kamatis, pinch of salt & a bit of water or salt, vinegar, garlic & pepper... Ohh, I can't wait to try it!
Healthy food naman. A talk with an organic farm owner gave a 'lil health scare on me. I'm now reviewing our grocery list & menu board. Unfortunately, it's not that easy to do the switch & go full organic since it'll put more than a dent on our grocery budget! :(
Anyway, for starters I did a veggie pasta inspired by Jenni's Vegetarian Spaghetti Bolognese (click for recipe). Super easy & delicious! Plus, I'm sort of cleaning our ref narin so I needed to chop them all before due date hehehe.. :D It's also my first time na mag-tadtad (Tagalog for "to chop finely"), ohh how I miss our maids! (Joke! Carry lang naman...)
Christmas is right around the corner. Dutiful Ninangs / Ninongs (Godparents) need to start w/ their gift list already to avoid the Christmas rush! Here's another warehouse sale to help us get started :D
I think I can find a gift for H here too. #hopefully :D
Miss Universe 2011, Miss Angola - Leila Lopez & Venus Raj look strikingly similar. This made us wonder, what if Venus Raj competed this year, hmm...
Leila is very charming / Venus exhibits elegance
I'll give a 10 to Leila, she simply shines on this one!
Vava Venus! I'm not sure what's Leila trying to portray here? @.@
Never the less, I congratulate all those who won. The world of beauty contests is no longer just the face/ the body... you've got to have the whole package - beauty, brains and a whole lot of charm! :D
"Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person you love...?"
The first person that I love is God, who created me. And I have my faith, my principles and it what makes me who I am... if that person loves me, he should love my God too. ~Miss Philippines Shamcey Supsup.
I've said the same thing my whole life, and will say it again and again - I love God first. This is who I am. A real life confession why the man I married loves my Daddy God more and first, I'm assured that he will & always love me true. Naks! :D
Congrats Shamcey Supsup for bagging 4th place at the Miss Universe Pageant 2011! You answered well by following your conviction & being true to yourself. Mabuhay!

Gloomy day in Mla. Raindrops poured down as we boarded the plane
Organizing an out-of-town trip in August means a high risk of rain fall. But in spite of that, this year's pick was in one of the areas in the Philippines that experiences wet season all-year round!
Napa-pray pa talaga ako sa prayer room ng airport for a favorable weather... ^_^
