My Top Picks @ Yummy Eats 2012

Who has the widest grin?

Yummy Eats 2012 - Eating & Cooking Fair last Saturday in Rockwell Tent was a huge success.  My friend, Alpha and I had our eyes and bellies full after a round or two of booth-hopping.  We also had a chance to witness Chef Bruce Lim's cooking demo live and up close.

Among the 50+ booths who participated in Yummy Eats 2012, a couple stood out as "unexpected discoveries", "genius ideas", and "really really yummy" for me.  Here are my top picks in the food fair:

RED HOT OVEN is an unexpected revelation. I must say Vanessa's cold crack pie is the best desert we had in the fair!
WHISK Japanese Mango Dressing & Spinach & Artichoke Dip were a welcome change after having loads of sweet treats in the fair. Oh, and that tuna macaroni salad was surprisingly good!
PINT chocolate ice cream is to-die-for.  It has extra think and creamy texture with solid chocolate flavor - something that makes you want to get a pint! Lol.
CLASSIC CONFECTIONS almond crunch is one of my favorite all-time Christmas gifts.  Nice to bump into them in this food fair. :)
BEANSPROUT merchandise are super kwooot!  I had to restrain myself from buying a haul.  It's reasonably priced and I was told they also do customized designs.  #gift idea
SWELL SWEETS is a brilliant idea.  The DIY cupcake counter certainly caught the eyes of the little ones.

Another favorite is CHOCLERY ARTISAN CHOCOLATES booth, which unfortunately I don't have a photo of. Darn why?! You see, I always have this fantasy to be a chocolatier / chocolate artisan myself. #truth

Anyway, for the people behind YUMMY magazine - good job and see you next year!
